DIY Tour in Europe: A Dream Come True

It's true, in the last week I've worked harder, traveled further, and partied harder than ever before. I met amazing souls from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Columbia, Germany, and Ireland. I've played music in hostels, in front of castles and canals, at bus stops, in smoky apartments, and even at the Berlin Wall.

Prague was crazy. The culture can slap someone in the face if they expect locals to be nice. The Prague Castle was breathtaking, the architecture mesmerizing, and the food did not dissapoint. We had the privilege to visit the Lenon Wall. I went with my friend Mary Jane after we sang a duet of Lenon's "Imagine" in a beautiful park. Singing was healing after such an emotional day. We found out there was a terror attack in Barcelona. I continue to send out prayers and love to all those grieving.

The highlight of Prague was getting lost. I convinced Mary to keep walking uphill in hopes of catching the sunset over the city. Sure enough, we discovered a way to go straight up. Not only did we have one of the most jaw-dropping views of the city, we stumbled upon The Prague Castle.

I'm on a bus now to Vienna, Austria where I will take a train to Sankt Pölten tonight to meet my good friend Ka'ahele. She flew all the way from Hawaii to sing at Sommer-Gönnung Festival. We look forward to meeting our friends Sean & Sonia in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I can picture Sean's massive bass case strapped to the top of our tiny car. After busking in Slovenia we will head back up to Austria to perform in Gmünd in Kärnten this weekend.

Central Europe was beautiful, artistic, and at times overwhelming. The rolling pastures of Northern Austria bring peace and the hope for some relaxation as we keep swirling ahead towards the next advenutre. Here's to the best two weeks of my life, Sommer-Gönnung Festival, and the Mediterranean Sea.
